Partners in AEWEN Project
The AEWEN project receives support from various stakeholders. Cooperation agreements were signed with organisations from Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia, with the aim to foster collaborations between Africa and Europe in the water and energy sectors as well as in the green transition.
AMEE
The Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency ”AMEE” is a strategic public institution, whose mission is to contribute to the implementation of the national energy policy, aiming at the reduction of energy dependency and the preservation of the environment, through the democratisation and promotion of energy efficiency. AMEE’s vision is to become a key agency in the field of energy efficiency, a centre of excellence and a hub between institutional actors, civil society, the private sector as well as national and international cooperation.
CCI Tuniso Française (CCITF)
Created in 1974, the chamber of commerce gathers over 2,000 members from France and Tunisia. It addresses all companies, particularly SMEs willing to export, import, diversify their markets, find partners, invest and set up business. This organisation is also a point of contact for economic operators seeking information, assistance or advice in Tunisia or France.
CERTE
CERTE is a Tunisian public center for water research and technologies that contributes to the development and dissemination of science and water-related technologies. It is composed of a supporting research team and 5 research laboratories: the Laboratory of Geo- Resources, the laboratory of Desalination and Valorisation of Natural Waters, the laboratory of Wastewater and Environment, the laboratory of Water, Membranes and Environmental Biotechnologies and the laboratory of Treatment and Valorisation of Water Discharges. It is part of the “research” component of the Technopark of Borj Cedria. CERTE is in charge of carrying out research and technological development work in the field of water and its application in the economic and social field. Moreover, CERTE contributes to the training of researchers and carries on many international research projects.
CISAO
The Italian Senegalese and West African Chamber of Commerce’s main mission is to create and foster the best conditions for increasing economic exchanges between Italian and West African entrepreneurs. It aims to create synergies between promoters by allowing them to seize different opportunities in the fields of investment, joint venture, training, culture, tourism and environment.
COPERES
Coperes, the “Business Council of Renewable Energies of Senegal”, gathers companies and consultants in the renewable energy sector as well as large independent power producers. It aims to meet the challenges of the development and promote renewable energies in Senegal by defending the economic interest of professionals from this sector, advocating, proposing training and raising awareness.
Coperes (Conseil Patronal des Energies Renouvelables du Sénégal) regroupe des entreprises et des consultants du secteur des énergies renouvelables ainsi que de grands producteurs d’électricité indépendants. Il vise à relever les défis du développement et de la promotion des énergies renouvelables au Sénégal en défendant les intérêts économiques des professionnels de ce secteur, en faisant du plaidoyer, en proposant des formations et en sensibilisant.
Chambre Tuniso-Italienne de Commerce et d’Industrie (CTICI)
The Chamber of commerce and industry is a not-for-profit association responsible for representing the interests of commercial, industrial and service companies. With strong links to Tunisian and Italian public and government bodies, the Chamber is the ideal platform for Tunisian and Italian companies wishing to export, import, diversify their markets, find partners or commercial representatives, invest or set up business in either of the two countries.
ECOPARK
The Management Company of Technopark Borj Cedria (Ecopark) is a company created in 2008 as part of the public policy aimed at creating a technopolitan system in Tunisia, specializing in water, energy, materials and biotechnology. It works to strengthen industrial infrastructure and promote investment for participation in the territorial development. In addition, the main mssion revolves around the objective of creating value resulting from the linking of productive sectors with research and innovation structures. This objective is materialized mainly by the creation of clusters, the development and management of collaborative projects, assistance in the creation of innovative start-ups and, in general, the animation of the technopolitan ecosystem.
FENELEC
FENELEC is The Morocco National Federation of Electricity, Electronics and Renewable Energies was founded in 1997. Today, FENELEC has more than 650 member companies, representing more than 95% of the products and services activity of the national electrical and electronic sector
Research Institute for Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN)
The Research Institute for Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN) was created in 2011 under the initiative of the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Environment and several public and private actors of the energy sector in order to support the Moroccan energy strategy through market-oriented applied research and innovation in the field of green technologies.
IRESEN is today an effective arm of the State to support the national energy strategy and is positioned on the entire value chain of green innovation, through financial support, human and technical assistance to researchers, PhD students, entrepreneurs (startups, SMEs and industrialists) throughout the entire process of project development: identification of needs, design, R&D, demonstration, incubation until the marketing of innovative products, processes and services.
MFCpole
Mfcpole is a competitiveness cluster founded in 2006 and based on the principle of public-private partnership. Its mission is to develop a growing ecosystem and to implement the National strategy of intelligent specialisation around the textile and clothing sector by targeting promising activities. Mfcpole’s mission is also to develop, manage and animate a new generation of industrial parks that respect international and environmental standards and provide services that meet investors’ needs. Mfcpole provides Tunisian and foreign companies with developed land, industrial and relay buildings, platforms, open space as well as support for their establishment and development.
Pôle Eau Dakar
The Pôle Eau Dakar is an initiative being implemented within the Ministry of Water and Sanitation of Senegal. Its mission is to promote hydro-diplomacy in order to foster concerted, integrated, responsible and mutually supportive governance of water resources in the interest of peace and shared prosperity. Its vision is to build a reference framework to catalyse inclusive dialogue, cooperation, governance and the development of innovative water solutions in Africa.
TUNICREE
TUNICREEE is the Tunisian Cluster for Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency. It’s a professional network that was born from the stakeholders’’ desire to bring together industrial, public and private institutions, scientific research institutions in the fields of renewable energies and energy efficiency.
It is based in the Technopole of Borj Cedria. TUNICREEE is open for any company wishing to develop its network, to implement collaborative activities and seeking to establish business opportunities in the fields of renewable energies and energy efficiency.
Université Gaston Berger
Located in Saint-Louis, this university aims to be a centre of excellence for innovative educational projects, in line with the development issues facing Senegal and Africa. In addition to its training vocation, the university also has centres and laboratories for research as well as technological and scientific intelligence. It includes, in particular, centres in the water and energy sectors.
Mohammed VI Polytechnic University
UM6P – Mohammed VI Polytechnic University is an institution oriented towards applied research and innovation with a focus on Africa. More than just a traditional academic institution, UM6P is a platform for experimentation and a pool of opportunities.
